Marrying a man with young children
If you marry a man with young children, can his ex-wife then go after your income to get more child support?

No, but she can show your income as a factor in showing his increased ability to pay the requested increase, since he has decreased his living expenses. Whether a judge will buy this is open to debate. Contact a local attorney.

A modification of child support is permissible when there has been a substantial change in the income of the paying parent. Your income will not be the sole determining factor in determining an increase for him but it may in the judge's discretion be a partial factor.
