Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
Medical Expense Reimbursement
Is there case law in Georgia addressing ''reasonable and necessary'' medical expense reimbursement in family law matter? Specifically, is a parent free to incur medical expenses for unnecessary treatment and submit those expenses to the other parent for reimbursement. Order non-specific; states only unremibursed medical expenses.

Re: Medical Expense Reimbursement
To some extent you have answered your own question. If the medical care is unnecessary, you presumably are not obligated to pay for your share since only "reasonable and necessary" medical expenses are reimbursed.
There is no bright line regarding what is necessary and reasonable. It depends on the circumstances and your argument. I.e., you can make the argument to the court that the expenses are not reasonable and/or necessary.
