Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Military move to korea

I am married and have a step daughter. I just got orders to korea and will need to get her a passport. My wife needs her fathers consent on the passport in order for us to get her a passport. He is not going to give my wife permission. So that means that my stepdaughter cannot go to korea which makes things worse. I am in the military and we move around alot but on the visitation court order it does not state anything about what happens when i do get orders to move are we always going to have to ask him for permission? What can we do since i am in the military? What can we do to get her a passport?

Re: Military move to korea

The only probable thing that you may be able to do is have your wife get an attorney and get a court order allowing her to travel/ move with the minor child. Talk to the attorney about the possible implications that moving out of state has on custody.
