Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I do not have enough money to file for full custody and my daughters father likes to come in and out of her life as he pleases. He lives with someone who just got out of jail, lost his job recently and does not help me with our daughter. I do not have enough money to get his name off the birth certificate or to file for full custody. I would hate for him to break her heart again by saying that he can't see her because of whatever his excuse may be. He is currently has not spoken or seen her in almost 4 months.

Unless he's legitimated the child, you have full custody already. Regardless, courts don't remove parents frombirth certificates (which wouldnot affect custody anyway), nor do they de-legitimize children. If he's not visiting, and does have visitation, it would be especially foolish to file anything, as you never awaken the sleeping dog and cause a problem when his non-visiting is already happening.
