Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

The mother of my children passed away on June 20, 2011 leaving behind my son and daughter. She lived with her mom and her sister. Her sister is trying to be the gaurdian of my children but I am their father and would like to continue to take care of my children. I was always there they stayed with me and the mother of my children. She and I were never married although we did live together when the children were born. Please give me some advice as to what I need to do.

There was not a will.

If you never bothered to legitimate the children your claim may be weak or non-existant. If you did legitimate the children you have a far stronger claim. Either way, see a lawyer.
