Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

move out

My husband is an alocohlic who has been through treatment but is continuing to drink. I have an appointment to with an attorney next week, but want to know if I can force him to leave without a court order. The house is in my name although we established the home together.

Re: move out

Even though the house is in your name, he may well have acquired some equity interest in the house by virtue of the marital relationship. Therefore, you cannot have him evicted without a court order. You should consult with a local attorney for more information.
