Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Moving out of state

I have full legal and physical custody of my childre. No where in my divorce decree does it say that I can not move the children out of state. Do I have to get permission from their father to move?

Re: Moving out of state

You get not have to get his permission to move. If he has certain visitation rights granted in the divorce petition, then he can file an action for contempt against you. You shoud seek to modify the terms of visitation to commensurate with your out of state living status.
