Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Negative DNA results and rights to child.

My son was named father of child on birth certificate. Child has fathers name and last name.Child was abandoned to my care from 4 mos. of age til 2yrs.old at which point we decided to seek legal custody. The mother said my son was not the father, judge ordered DNA, results were 0% probability, child was turned over to mother who in turn gave him to someone else. Do we have any rights at all in this matter?

Re: Negative DNA results and rights to child.

You possibly have a chance at custody. A recent change in the law allows 3rd parties to seek custody of a child when neither parent has custody. You should call an attorney for help as it will be a fairly complicated process.
