Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
My oldest daughter, who is 25, has been living with her boyfriend for the past 7 years. They have a daughter together who is 4 years old. Her credit was excellent going into the relationship. He has had several wrecks on her insurance policy, totaled her vehicle, they signed a loan on a new truck and he now refuses to make the payments when the truck was supposed to be for him. He has beaten her on more than one occasion. And now he has kicked her out of their rented home and tells her when she can and cannot see her child. What can she do? She is in a low income bracket and has acquired medical bills that she cannot pay and is going to be taken to court over as well.

In choosing not to be married, she chose not to have many legal remedies. She can get a lawyer to deal with her child custody and visitation and support. And she may be able to ditch the bills in a bankruptcy, depending on information not in your post.
