Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
I have been ordered to pay child support, but before I could pay, the bank froze my disability pay. I cannot get anything out. Now I am ordered to court for non-payment. What am I supposed to do, they are talking about jail time for about $2500?

You've left out a lot because there is no such thing as a bank freezing disability. Explain what actually happened to your lawyer (and yes you need one) and see what your lawyer can do to help.

You will likely not go to jail for contempt if you show up to court with payment in hand and/or a really good plan to start paying. Be contrite.
Best of luck.******The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.*******
