He only makes 300.00 weekly. We hardley make enough to buy food.Is there anyway to fix this? I have two children from a previous marrige and we have one together. Thanks for any help

Re: outrageous child support amount!

The guidelines for support of two children is 23% - 28%. The judge can go outside those guidelines for some reason, but if circumstances have changed since the award, you can seek to modify the original award and lower the support amount.

Re: outrageous child support amount!

Child support in Georgia is based on a percentage of income and the number of children involved. If you are currently paying more that his income allows, then you need to file for a modification of child support.
