Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I paid for my ex-wife's engagement ring and have the check to prove it. The judge ordered me to pay her the amount she said its worth and she would give the ring back. I could not refuse to get the ring, I had to take it and pay her the amount. Is there case law where you do not have to pay for an item twice since I originally am the one who purchased the ring?

That would have been an issue to raise before the Judge ruled on the issue.

Why are you asking AFTER you went to court and lost?

The Judge has ruled. You must do what the judge says. Next time, hire counsel before you go to Court.
