Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

The paralegal for my husband's attorney, fraudulently notarized my husbands signature on our settlement agreement. I live in Georgia, the attorneys are in Georgia and my husband is in California. He was not in Georgia on November 10, 2010, the day I signed the document. But when I retrieved a copy of the settlement agreement from the file at court, he signed it and it was dated on the same day that I signed, but he was not in Georgia. They sent the Settlement Agreement to him in California. The paralegal notarized it with the authorization of his attorney and filed it on November 30, 2010. This makes the Settlement Agreement null and void. They are trying to rush to file the Final Judgement and Decree, but I will not because of this issue. What can I do to inform the judge that this happened and report the attorney and her paralegal.

Those are issues you discuss with your lawyer, since no one her has the document and you fail to specifically describe the signatures and notary seal and exactly how it is defective. It also looks like you have already reached your own legal conclusions about its validity, and now want to contest the divorce. That means you need a lawyer if you don't have one. Finally, whether a defective notary seal invalidates an agreement that you and your husband entered into prior to signatures (as set forth in the document) is a different issue but, again, no one here has the document.

I agree with Scott. In addition to the fact that the agreement may be valid, if it isn't, your lawyer would be the one to discuss this with. You do NOT have a do it yourself project.
