how can a parent who lives in ga an the child is in mississippi and havent seen her for over 4 yrs, when i remarried my ex told me that was it i could nt see her again but now 4 yrs later child support is after me when i havent even had no way to contact her in 4 yrs, i want to give up parental rights. i have been on workers comp for 3 yrs an am on strong narcotics due to it and cant drive to mississippi for court. she doesnt even know me she calls another man daddy, i just need advise

You need a Mississippi lawyer to represent you in the Mississippi. At the very least, you need to provide the Mississippi court with some kind of written evidence (doctor's note) that says you are unfit to travel to Mississippi.

Here's your answer: Even if you are no longer part of the child's life, you are still the father of the child. That responsibility doesn't go away because you remarry, because the mother decides to cut you off from contact with the child, because you are sick, because you are on workers comp, etc. A Court will award child support if "it's in the best interest of the child" regardless of your situation.

Phil is absolutely right - your child deserves your financial support and you cannot shirk it even if you have shirked your fatherly duties in other aspects of her life
