parental rights

My childrens bio-logical father hasn't seen his kids in almost 4 years. He is convicted felon in georgia, alabama, louisiana and was arrested for rape in ohio but wasn't convicted of it. He lives with a gay man, smokes pot, can't hold a job. He served from 86 to 91 in ga for burglary from 95 to 96 in ga for growing pot 98 to 99 in la for something he did 17 years ago another year in la for what he did and a year in al for burglary, la was burglary also, they came got him 17 years later for violation of parole. I was wondering if a have a good chance of having his rights taken away. We were never married.

If the children were born in Georgia out of wedlock, then this father does not have any rights to the child until he goes to court and legitimates them. If he ever attempts to legitimate the children, then you would be able to object to the legitimation, which will more than likely be granted in this case.
