Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

parental rights

My daughter was upset and mad at her dad and myself(mom). She went to school and alleged child abuse. There is no abuse. The councelor called DFAC. Then few days later she and her dad got into a argument, she went outside called her friend and the friend called police to our home. We are now being investigated and DFAC came out drug tested my husband and myself. of course, negative result on test. What are our rights and Can DFAC question our chilren at school without our knowledge and consent? Can we request a copy of our file? Please help. Thank YOu, Darlene

Re: parental rights

DFACS operates in different ways in diffent counties. You should consult with a local attorney ASAP. Generally, DFACS has a lot of power that is uncontrolled unless limited by a judge.
