Can both parties of a divorce file an admendment to their divorce if it is signed by both and notarized without an attorney?

An attorney will need access to the facts and decree to answer the question regarding whether the part of the decree that you wish to modify can be altered. If modification is an option, the proper procedure will need to be followed and employing a family law attorney is your best solution to attaining your goal.

There is NO such thing as amending a divorce.

Some but not all parts of a decree may be legally modified if a judge agrees. Retain counsel to see if you can even make the changes you want, and then to get it done. A signed document without judicial approval cannot change the judge's order.
