Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

paternity testing

i am 7 months pregnant. my husband basically told me to leave him in october. i had also lost my job due to complications of this pregnancy. we married in june. i left, and am currently living with my parents. i filed for divorce, mainly hoping that i could receive some type of temporary alimony until baby is born, due to me not having funds to purchase baby furnishings, etc.... well, so that he can ''get out'' of paying me temp support, he is filing contestment and is now requesting paternity test (he knows that HE IS THE FATHER however). he also is stating that he has emails from me stating that i have a boyfriend which is completly untrue. does he have a case, and if so,what exactly can he do, being that he is basing this on untrue facts.....??? thank you....

Re: paternity testing

He is allowed to contest paternity. However, he will have to pay for the test, assuming he is shown to be the father. You will be entitled to support and possible alimony. I would suggest you hire an attorney to guide you through this process.
