Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Paternity

I am wanting to get a paternity test done on a child of mine and my ex-girlfriend's. The problem is that we have broken up and don't speak at the moment. She was married up until a week ago (seperated), so I am not on the birth certificate. I do not want to legitimize the child until I have a test done. Is there any way to kind of force her to submit the child for testing? What are my options here?

Re: Paternity

There is a procedure to force a DNA test, but it is too complicated to explain here. Consult with a local attorney.

Re: Paternity

The only way to force a test is to file a court case. You should retain counsel before making that decision.
