paternity

can a woman who has been with more than one man automatically put down any mans name as father of child on birth certificate without proof if he is denying he is the father. and there is a good possibilty it's someone elses. state is georgia

Re: paternity

This has no legal effect in the State of Georgia. If he is denying paternity a legitimation action asking the court to order a paternity test may be the answer. Unless of course she is willing to submit to a paternity test. Then the true father has the option to legitimate the child.
