Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Can a person serve their spouse seperation/divorce papers without ever signing anything? The husband said he was serving her yesterday but then calmed down. He is military & she is a stay at home mom. He got his uncles lawyer to serve her (she didn't take the papers) now he says he never signed anything & didn't know the lawyer had followed thru. Right now she has been told he will be granted temporary custody because she has no job. They live in GA and she is trying to leave to WA (their state of residence) because of the abuse. (verbal but he is getting angrier & more physical). Monday he destroyed every form of ID she has from her birth certificate to her bank cards. He shut off her phone & took her off the bank accounts. He has also at timeslocked their 2 yr old outside at night in the cold to punish my daughter. PLEASE HELP SOON !

Where does it get you to get an answer to the question about service? If they can't work it out, she needs to get a lawyer to answer her questions. A friend on an anonymous internet forum won't be of any help to her.

Divorce cases don't proceed the way you say, so there are facts missing in your post. Regardless, she needs to hire a lawyer within a couple days of first seeing the papers.
