Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Personal Property Dispute

I was in relationship with a young lady that ended fairly abruptly. While we never lived together she did leave some items at my house. After we broke up, I asked her what she would like me to do with the items and she said ''do whatever you want with them''. Some two months later she asked me to return the items and I reminded her of what she told me in our earlier conversation. Now she has sued me saying that I destroyed her property. can I be held financially responsible?

Re: Personal Property Dispute

Your question is basically asking us to take a guess based on only one side of a pending lawsuit. No one here is making the decision, and we do not have her side of the story or the complaint. If it is in small claims court, show up and give your side and take any documents or other evidence you have.
