Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Power of attorney

A few years ago my husband and I separated and during this time he gave his daughter Power of Attorney . We later dropped the divorce, we never moved back in the same house together but we always took care of each other, if one of us needed help the other was always threre, he lived in a house down the street from me and we were together every day in some way. The power of attorney is still in effect, last week my husband had an accident and he is in ICU, he had a head injury he has been sedated for eight days now, do I have the right to make decisions for him or does his daughter have all rights. My husband and I had continued our relationship as husband and wife, we just never lived in the same house together after we seperated. We both signed papers to drop the divorce because we didn't want the divorce

Re: Power of attorney

The POA is still in force. However, if your husband has a period of lucidity, he can sign a simple document revoking the POA. Consult with a local attorney.
