Powey of attorney

My bestfriend is in jail and signed a ''Power of Attorney and Designation of Guardianship'' paper to allow a friend to care for her kids. This friend is now trying to file other papers. My bestfriend and I are now wanting to know what we need to do inorder for me to get the children and prevent someone else frow trying to gain custody.

The power of attorney is probably valid until it is revoked by your friend. Even then, other problems may arise. It sounds like they already may have. Consult with a local attorney.
