premarital breech of contract

recently fiance broke off engagement for no reason and has cut all communications with me.he lives in wisc.He lost my grandfathers wedding band that was suppose to be his wedding band.claims post office stole it.I am stuck with a bill for wedding dress [over 6 grand] and he demands his ring back.What are my rights in getting some of my money back?

Unfortunately, if you want to pursue a civil claim against him, you will have to do it in Wisconsin. However, you might contact the local authorities about pressing a criminal case for theft (of the wedding band) and/or fraud (for the cost of the wedding gown).
