Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I have primary physical custody of my 11 year old son but joint legal custody, we have a trip planned in June to go to Roatan Honduras but my ex wife is saying she will not give me premission to take him there because she is under the impression that it is unsafe. Is there anything she can do to stop him from going.

You omitted most of the information needed to fully answer you.

She has many ways to stop you.

The first we cannot address here because we have not read your visitation and custody paperwork. That may affect your ability to go. Since you failed to discuss that you will need to call your lawyer about that.

The second is that you can't get a passport without her consent.

The third is that most countries will not allow your child entrance without you carrying a notarized permission from her.

The fourth possibility is that she could simply sue you in court.

Discuss all of these with your lawyer.
