Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
I was going through the process of getting a divorce when I gave birth to our daugher. the divorce went on for a year and a half. I am now Divorced. Now am married to her biological father and cannot put her biological father's name on her birth certificate. How do I change her name, make him her legal gaurdian and keep us from paying a whole lot of money?

Hopefully you addressed this in your divorce, and certainly your divorce lawyer told you to. Legal paternity was determined in your divorce. If your divorce says that your child was not your ex's, then changing things now is possible. My office handles such cases. If you did not address it in a divorce, it will be harder to change although still might be possible. Call me.
