Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I am in the process of filing for a divorce, but I do not have my husbands address. He does not have an actually physical address, he has been staying with friends, and they will not give out their address so that he may be served, he actually may not even be staying there any more. We have not been living together for We do not have any contact any more. Is this grounds for running the ad in the public paper to get the divorce? Or do I still need to file and try and have him served even though I do not have the address only the approximate location of where he was staying?

It is pretty clear from your post that you have not done the dilligent search required by Georgia law to serve a case by publication. In situations like this your attorney (and you need one) will likely have you hire a private process server who probably will have little trouble serving him.

Bear in mind that in not talking and in having him served, you are filing a contested divorce, and it will be more expensive and complex than it would be otherwise.
