These are questions you need to ask your lawyer (and your first step is to get one). Note that the court will address other issues as well (such as legitimization, a parenting plan, custody itself, support and so on). Let me stress that you need experienced legal counsel.

You may not have visitation rights if you have not legitimated your child(ren). If not, you can file a petition for legitimation, custody and child support. Everything can be taken care of in the same action. However, I would urge you to get an attorney as the process is not simple and there are several issues to consider.
