Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

qdra

my ex wife and I mediated our divorce December of 07. It was up to her to initiate the QDRA, but has taken a full year to begin the process. Of course with the market going the wrong way. My 401k is worth $20,000 less than it was when we got divorced. She says she is entitled to the amount that is in the decree. Which would give her about $29,000 and leave me with about $10,000. What are my options as she has counsel starting the QDRA process today.

Re: qdra

This is an issue you need to discuss with your lawyer, as what she receives depends on the language of your settlement, and he will know that and we have no way to know that.
