Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

quit claim deeds

my soon to be ex daughter in law and son started divorce papers last year, she was given 13,000.00 in exchange of her giving the house to our son, along with physical custody of our grandson. They tried to reconcile, but my son chose to go ahead with the divorce this year. She said the quit claim deed she signed last year is now null and void due to the fact that they got back together. Is this true, she took the money blowed it, went broke and came back. Is she entitled to more money to give up her right to the home again. She said she was. HELP US???????

Re: quit claim deeds

The quitclaim deed is not voided. However, your son needs to consult with a local attorney.

YOUR SON, not his mother, needs a lawyer, and his divorce can't be handled by mom making multiple posts on a board like this with only a second hand account of half the story.
