Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Range of age children can elect primary custodian in US

I would like to know the range of ages that states in the US allow children to choose their primary custodian. Which state has the youngest age? Which has the oldest? I'd also like to know what laws other countries have about this matter, especially any extremes of age or absence of choice altogether. Thank you.

Off the top of my head in Georgia the age is 14 where the child can choose. It's not mandatory though and the Judge does not absolutely have to accept the decision, but as a practical matter, if there's not any parental problems then the Judge will honor the child's selection.
