What does this have to do with family law, divorce or custody? Post again in the appropriate category, and include the facts. What "job?" What is the agreement?

You posted in the part of Law Guru where only diovorce and adoption and custody lawyers visit and asked a question related to business law. That means that the lawyers who specialize in your area of law never saw your question.

When you repost in the correct area, you still won't get a useful answer without details. What job is involved? How big was the deposit? How long ago was this done? And most importantly, since no businessman would take deposits and do jobs without a contract, what does your contract say? You do have a contract, right? The answer is in your contract. No one can answer without knowing what language is in there about refunds and why a refund is being asked for.
