Recent custody/child support modification

If papers state ''defendant shall pay to Plaintiff, X amount of dollars, every two weeks as child support for the suppost and maintainence of the child'' Does this mean my ex is to pay me ''every two weeks'' OR two times a month? At what point is he considered to be in contempt?

The language means what is says. Every two weeks is not the same as two times a month, as he would miss 2 payments a year (there are 4.3 weeks in an average month). Any violation of an agreement can be held as contempt. In general the legal costs of a contempt won't justify acting on a small amount, but you could inexpensively have a lawyer write a warning letter.
