Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Hello, I recently got married. I am in the process of changing my last name. My daughter is 7yrs. old and I would like to change her last name as well. Is the process the same for her as it would be for me.? Also, the man that I married is my daughters stepfather, I do not know who her dad is, is there anyway he can legally adopt her?

Either a name change or adoption is possible but you have to name the real father either way. Feel free to discuss it. Both are likely possible but far more complex than your name change.
