I want to remove my name from a child's birth certificate that is not mine,we were not ever married

You may not be able to. If you can you will need a lawyer. You'll need dna tests and will have to explain why you and the mother committed the serious crime of false swearing. And, unless the actual father is in the case and determined to be the father you may get nowhere so you'll need him too.
