I am representing myself in my divorce due to can not afford an attorney- i prepared my own divoce and filed it with the county that i reside. if we purchase the home with husbands IRA funds ($4500.00), but have paid the mortage jointly for 4 yrs am i responsible for repaying husband for the money he put down,if i am awarded the home? am i entitled to alimony(need Ga laws for ref.)? How can i receive some type of property settlement from him if i elect to give up the home? We also have a debt of $9400.00 on a credit card which is in his name but 1/2 is considered my debt-how can i be released from this debt-i offered to waive my rights to alimony in lieu of paying 1/2 the debt? i also need to know how to repond to a "Response" ltr from his lawyer re:Marital Dissolution, that i filed? Please help me be my own attorney!!

It appears there are a lot of issues in your case that need to be resolved. I don't think you can afford not to have an attorney, especially since your spouse has an attorney, as it puts you at an extreme disadvantage. You can ask the judge to have your spouse pay all or a portion of your fees.
