Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
I am a resident of the state of georgia. My girlfriend moved out of our apartment and took our 9 month daughter with her. Although I am listed on her birth certificate as the father we were not married. On her way out the door (5 days ago) she was threatening to take the baby to Florida. I had obtained the legitimation forms , and begun to fill them out. Yesterday I went over to my ex g.f. Grandmothers house to see my daughter . When I arrived , her grandmother all but admitted that they had run off to Florida. I have been texting, calling cell phone with no response. I am in a panic. I feel helpless. I need to know what I should do about the legitimation process now that they don't live in Georgia. Please respond soon as I don't want too much more time to pass. Thank you in advance.
Bradley.

You already made one big mistake in thinking you could do this yourself with forms. You NEED a lawyer. Get a lawyer - now - get this filed right - and she can be served out of state as long as you proceed soon enough. Again, ditch the forms and see a lawyer.
