Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

What are the responbilities to children concerning child support after age 18?

My husband has 2 children he pays child support to. His divorce says the support stops at age 18. But how long does it continue after 18 if they are still in college? Also to what age does he have to pay their health insurance if they are sill in school?

This is real simple. He owes what he owes as per the divorce decree. If it is silent as to ANY obligations, whether health insurance or otherwise, he does not owe that money.

Unless the divorce decree or agreement states differently, all obligations will cease at age 18, including health insurance. High School, but not college, may extend the obligation, without contrary language in the decree. Please feel free to call me if I can be of further assistance to you.
