Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Restraining Order/Eviction

I had been living with a man on and off for about 10 years. He did many illegal things and couldn't keep a job. He did move out and I did get a restraining order against him, which is still in effect. Unfortunately, after some time he convinced me that he had changed and I let him move back in. I own the house we live in, but he has lived her for a year and a half. He has not changed and is back to his old way. Is the restraining order still in effect and legal, even though I was really stupid and let him move back in? Do I have to get and attorney and take this to court to get him out of my house? Can I just ask him to leave and if he does not, can I just call the police, show them the restraining order, and they will make him leave? He owes me a lot of money, and like many times before, he is unemployed. I am a single/divorced mother of two grown daughters and grandmother to three grandchildren. I work 2 jobs and I live in Bradenton, Florida. Please help me!!! Thank you so much.

Re: Restraining Order/Eviction

The fact that you let him back in and for so long may invalidate your restraining order. You should consult with a local attorney.
