my rights as an ex

My divorce was final Feb.11,2000. This was a short marriage with no property settlement. I own my home and the ex lives here. My question is : When can I get him out and how do I do that ? He is perfectly happy to stay here and not pay a dime while I pay all the bills. The house was mine before the relationship. I bought a car for him on my credit and he said he would pay for it but when he stopped working he stopped paying anything on the car.I have paid the car off now.Needless to say I am in a mess and need to get out of it.

If there was no property settlement, you need to petition the court to reopen or modify the divorce decree so all these issues can either be agreed upon or decided by the court.
