Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
Rights
What rights do I have as a single mother getting no help from my baby's father if the father never had any contact with the baby but knew about him from the beginning of the pregnancy?

Re: Rights
Knowing about the child may not be enough. Either the father has to admit the child is his or a paternity test must be done to prove the child is his.
Re: Rights
I would suggest retaining local counsel to prove paternity and then obtaining child support. The father's knowledge of the child is irrelevant for future support as long as the child is proven to be his.
