Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I have a separation agreement stating how much I pay monthly in child support, however my Ex has opened a case with the California DCSS. What can I do?

You neglected to tell us if the case is because you violated the agreement or because a party is seeking to increase support, butr eitrher way you retain a lawyer (in California), follow his advice and deal with the case. Support is always modifiable, so that's a normal proceeding, and if you fail to follow a decree you also should expect enforcement. Additionally, some cases are filed to initiate a payroll dedcution if there is not yet one in place. Since you chose to ask in the Georgia section of LawGuru, no California lawyers will ever see your post to give you specifics as to California's procedures.
