Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

separation

I left my husband and moved out with my daughter, what rights do I have to get my things out of the house and my daughter's things? Can he keep our belongings? He says that I am not taking my daughter's things out of the house.

Re: separation

You need to consult with a local attorney about filing for either divorce or separate maintenance and getting a Temporary Hearing ASAP. There you will get an order from the court as to what property you will be entitled to get. Without that order, if there is the possibility of violence, I would not advise you to just go and get stuff.
