Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Separation

My wife and I separated and she filed charges on me for alleged abuse. She has taken our children and is hiding them from me. She is threatening to take them out of our state, to prevent my seeing them. Can I stop her? We have a hearing soon to decide whether a warrant will be issued for my arrest. I voluntarily left our home, and she has pursued me relentlessly since. I have not contacted her. I want to see my children and am worried about their safety with her.

Re: Separation

Consult with a local attorney about filing for divorce, even though you have charges pending against you. Via a temporary hearing, a judge can order her not to remove the children and make them available to you for visitation.
