Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
seperation laws in ga
what is the serperation laws in the state of ga, do you need a lawyer to considerit or is it ok if the two people just decide to seperate themselves..and if that is the case rhen what is the legal right of the custody of the kids during this time and when the divorce is filed. If we decide not to ever get back about how long should we remain seperated before filing an uncontested divorce? Does GA have an uncontested divorce? We signed a piece of paper stating that he has custody of the kids, but i can visit them pretty much when i want to and i can call them whenever..how does that piece of paper hold up in an uncontested divorce?Does it matter and if so how much does it matter in this situation that one of the kids was born before we got married..what would be the legal rights of that child?

Pieces of paper you sign are usually completely worthless. You should have already seen a lawyer and should do so immediately. If you are agreeable, a divorce can be fairly inexpensive and quick, and using a lawyer will avoid the many problems you are likely to have with how you are handling things now. Call us if we can assist you with your case.
