Re: seperation
You've asked too general a question to answer without a lot of detail (such as incomes, assets, liabilities and so on). With a child involved, there certainly will be issues as to child support, custody, visitation, insurance and the like. There will also be issues of a division of assets and debts. There may be spousal support and other issues.

Re: seperation
Assuming you are somewhere in GA [otherwise please disregard], you would have the same rights as any other wife/mother would have during the pendency of your divorce. In other words, the fact that your husband is in the military, in of of itself, would not directly effect either of your rights. However, your husband my have benefits offered by the military--perhaps some form of legal insurance--that could have an impact on your divorce as a practical matter. Although, these benefits, if any, would more than likely be available to you as the wife of a serviceman.
Best of luck. PAS
