Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

In Short, I have a 16 yr. old step daughter that wants to live with me. I have divorced her mother and realize I have no legal rights to the step daughter. Her bio mother and father are mentally/emotionally abusive towards her to the point where she wants emancipation, to live with me?? I have no idea what to do?

Absent agreement of the parents, what you seek is probably impossible. Emancipation, which is very rare, means she is able to support herself (not have you take care of her) so that doesn't apply here.
