Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I am a single mother with a 3 month old son. Never been married and the father is on the birth certificate and Will agree the the baby is his 100% although he has not once help support my son I am going to file for child support. but im very lost on what my rights are an what his rights are

At this point he is a criminal as he is required in Georgia to pay support without a court order.

Unless he files a legitimization, he has no right to see or make decisions about the child.
