Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

My sister is currently 31 weeks pregnant, homeless, and unemployed. She wants me to take the baby temporarily after the birth, while she tries to get her life together. My question is, would a notarized letter of temporary guardianship signed voluntarily by all parties be sufficient and allow me to take the baby to the doctor, etc if needed, or do we have to go before a judge to obtain guardianship? Also, is it possible to establish guardianship prior to the baby's birth so I can take him home from the hospital or must it wait until the birth?

Notarized letters don't work. You need a court order, after birth.
